In partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Florida Panthers' revitalization of the iconic War Memorial Auditorium remains well underway, marking one of the largest restorations of a community space in South Florida since the onset of the pandemic.
While we, like so many other businesses and developers, have experienced a number of labor and supply chain-related construction delays, we are grateful for our partnership with the city, and the patience of the great Fort Lauderdale community, as we continue working diligently to bring this project to life.
Working hand in hand with the city, we look forward to opening phase one of this exciting project, the Baptist Health IcePlex, in the first half of 2023. This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, including a dedicated community ice rink with programming for all ages, as well as the Panthers new team practice rink with stadium seating where local fans can catch their favorite players in action.
With the South Florida community remaining at the heart of this exciting project, the completed Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium will transform the city’s largest park into a vibrant community recreation and entertainment destination and serve as an integral part of this city’s bright future for decades to come.
