Panthers Adaptive Skating Program presented by ABA Centers of Florida is a new four-week session of Adaptive Skating and Adaptive Hockey.
This program is offered under the auspices of the American Special Hockey Association, dedicated to serving those with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities through the sport of ice hockey.
In addition to skill building, our Adaptive Skating Program focuses on building a sense of community, positively impacting the quality of life for the athlete and their family.
Adaptive Skating
This weekly program provides an opportunity for skaters to develop skating skills, make new friends, and just have FUN! Adaptive Skating is also a perfect introduction to ice skating in preparation for participation on an Adaptive Hockey team.
Adaptive Hockey
Baptist Health IcePlex is proud to partner with the American Special Hockey Association to offer an Adaptive Hockey program. Adaptive Hockey is open to skaters of diverse ability and diagnosis with intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities.
Our Adaptive Hockey program provides a supportive environment emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, friendships, and improved physical and mental health. Prior participation in Adaptive Skating, Learn to Skate classes or similar program is strongly encouraged.
Sled Hockey
Sled Hockey offers an opportunity to individuals with physical disabilities to participate in our great sport of ice hockey with the facilitation of sleds and other adaptive equipment. Practices and games are divided into youth and adult sections.
